words by Terembe Cherono
A few weeks ago, I reached out to my cousin-sis, Cherono, to ask if she’d be keen to collaborate on some content. She said yes and we dove into extensive planning and coordination of outfits, hairstyles and ideas! We have very similar interests, particularly fashion and fitness and that was the basis for our content. I’ve always loved Cherono’s style (and overall taste in life, tbh), so I knew it would be fun to work together on this. And it was!
After a long day of shooting together and a week of editing, here’s the first of the concepts we shot – Sunday Best. Before we get into the looks, let’s get to know her a little better.
Instagram handle: @keep_fit_with_cherono
What I call her: Nosh! Nono is her original nickname but when we lived together we started calling her Nosh (can’t remember why lol) and it just stuck.
How we know each other: We’re cousins! Our moms are sisters.
How she’s saved on my phone: Victoria Nosh
Her favourite food: Chicken Pesto Pasta
Her favourite colour: Black
Her favourite quote: “If you look at what you have in life, you’ll always have more. If you look at what you don’t have in life, you’ll never have enough.” – Oprah Winfrey
Her advice for anyone reading this right now: Don’t be too hard on yourself, you are doing GREAT.
Look 1: Church Girls
‘Sunday Best‘ is all about your best garms. For this first look, we wanted elegant but modest outfits that you could wear for a number of different occasions – church, family get-togethers or weddings. Cherono chose a hot pink mid-length dress with some ruching at the front and wrapped at the back. I wore a peach crop top (also with tie detail) and a lime green satin skirt. I love how bright and fun the outfits are – it’s mood-lifting just looking at them!

Look 2: Ladies Who Lunch
For our second look, we wanted less dressy options that were still chic. I imagine wearing either of these outfits to a lunch with family or evening drinks with friends. We both wore wide leg pants – Cherono’s black and white graphic print paired with a black bodysuit and mine khaki-coloured with pleats at the bottom paired with a white tank. Minimal accessories to complete the look – chef’s kiss.
